Perth and Kinross Council sets up meetings to discuss 'Supporting the Role of Community Councils', October-November 2012

Perth and Kinross Council has sent invitations to all community councils to attend one of its forthcoming meetings to discuss the current role of community councils, and to get your views on the Scottish Government's Community Empowerment and Renewal Bill which seeks to help people get involved in decisions about the services in their community. The meetings will take place at the following dates and venues:

Tue 30 Oct, Breadalbane Community Campus, 7pm
Thu 1 Nov, Strathearn Community Campus, 7pm
Tue 6 Nov, Loch Leven Community Campus, 7pm
Thu 8 Nov, Glenearn Community Campus, 7pm
Tue 13 Nov, North Inch Community Campus, 7pm
Thu 15 Nov, Blairgowrie Community Campus, 7pm

Teas and coffees will be provided from 6.45pm.

N.B. We recommend that if you wish to attend any of these meetings you first read the final report and recommendations of the Scottish Government's Short Life Working Group on Community Councils, which was published on 3 October 2012. You may also want to read the Convention's response to the Scottish Government's forthcoming Community Empowerment and Renewal Bill.
